The Compas enjoyed a memorable week that started with Chargers reporter Hayley Elwood joining the Lunes Live on Compas on the Beat YouTube

Fernando did something that has never been done in the three years of Compas on the Beat—he blocked someone from the live chat. It says plenty that it took this long to give a negative nancy the boot. Most of our listeners and viewers have been nothing but respectful and supportive. We’re truly grateful for that.
There are definitely rude comments out there that we ignore. But the Compas have embraced the negative feedback because it makes us better as hosts and content creators. For example, someone commented this week: “Looks like this show has improved. I’m back on board.” First of all, shoutout to Hayley Elwood for getting several Chargers fans to watch our Lunes Live. We lost a good amount of Chargers fans when we shifted the show to discuss the entire NFL. So it was a perfect opportunity to show the viewers that we lost a few years back all the progress we’ve made.
Some aren’t happy that we don’t talk Chargers 24/7, but we will always talk plenty of Chargers because we started this network as beat reporters and many Chargers fans were extremely supportive from the get go. As a reminder, it’s all about the Powder Blues on our What’s Up Bolts channel with Fernando and Dan in Daygo. Compas on the Beat is about a variety of sports with a blend of pop culture and random conversations. I noticed a few were upset that we spent 20 minutes talking about Love is Blind with Hayley. That was a lot of fun, though.
But back to the point, it’s all about improvement and the willingness to accept tough criticism. That’s why we rarely block people from the comments section. I’m proud of the work the Compas put in during this memorable week. After the successful Lunes Live with Hayley, Fernando and myself covered the Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia press conference and USC’s Pro Day with Caleb Williams.
